Our instructors will teach you how to take an opponent from standing to the ground. The better wrestler controls where the fight takes place. You will learn how to defend the takedown and to dominate standing positions so you can control your opponent.
Wrestling is an ancient martial art that uses grappling techniques such as clinch fighting, throws, takedowns, joint locks, pins and other grappling holds. A wrestling bout is a physical competition who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position. Wrestling has one of the best takedown techniques and that is why wrestling techniques have been incorporated into other martial arts as well. There are many instances where martial artists from other grappling disciplines learn to wrestle to make themselves better all-around martial artists.

wrestling shoes are optional but not required to take the class. A typical class involves 10 minutes of warm ups and conditioning followed by 25 minutes of teaching and practicing technique with a willing partner. The last 25 minutes is live sparring against an opponent of equal skill in an attempt to work on technique learned that day and other techniques taught in previous classes.
